DISTRICT MANAGER
BRITISH COLUMBIA REGION
In April of 2024, The Quark Group will be opening a new Quarks store in Langley British Columbia at the Willowbrook Shopping Centre.
The Quark Group is looking for a District Manager to join our innovative, growing company. Your primary responsibilities are to organize and oversee the operations of a number of stores within your district.
The District Manager is responsible for executing The Quark Group's strategy and providing strong leadership to store operations teams within the district.
The District Manager will play a key role in overseeing regional talent management, identifying and assessing talent gaps, coaching and providing feedback for improved store performance and maintaining operational standards consistently across the district.
This includes operating as a Store Manager in your "Home Store" to achieve the same.Ultimately the District Manager is accountable for the implementation and achievement of key business metrics, initiatives, and ensuring the district complies with all corporate store operations standards.
This position will require flexibility to travel every 6 to 8 weeks within your district to conduct field visits, and to the Head Office in Manitoba annually.

Specifically, the District Manager will provide_:_
- Effectively communicate direction and performance expectations to all store teams.
- Develop and implement shortterm execution strategies for the district that directly align to identified business objectives.
- Closely monitor and analyze the district's key business metrics (E.g. Sales, Employee development, Customer Service, Expenses, Shrink, Compliance, and Training) and initiate appropriate action when required.
- Build and continue to foster a culture of consistent execution ensuring organizational values, goals, objectives and standards are effectively communicated.
- Create an environment where the introduction of new concepts, categories and other business initiatives can be executed with little disruption to the daily routine.
We'd Love to Hear from People With_:_
- Knowledge of the retail industry gained through 5+ years of progressively responsible roles.
- 3+ years of retail experience managing a multistore region with a focus on people leadership.
- 3+ years of retail management experience leading teams of 5 or more, including training and coaching.
- Strong leader and proven track record of developing management talent.
- Ability to communicate, delegate and execute initiatives.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence results.
- Highly selfmotivated with the ability to motivate others.
- Strong customer focus with emphasis on building and sustaining relationships and teams.
- Proven track record for achieving targets and delivering on strategic and measured objectives.
- Knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles.
- A high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Valid Driver's License for regular travel between locations.
- Minimum high school or GED.
Note:
a college degree in business, retail management or a closely related field(s) will be considered an asset and may be substituted for a portion of the required experience.
