    Areas of Responsibility

    The Microfluidics Engineer Co-op will be a key member of the growing R&D team at PNI. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the company's scientific and product development goals, which includes the following key responsibilities:

    • Assembly of lipid nanoparticles for vaccine development
    • Implement analytical lab techniques for nanoparticles
    • Design, fabrication and characterization of microfluidic devices
    • Application development for new microfluidic devices
    • Assist in transitioning new formulation techniques into future products

    Qualifications and Experience

    The successful candidate must have a keen interest in nanotechnology and life sciences, be a quick learner and motivated to help the company grow and succeed. Example of qualifications include:

    • Studying Nanoscience, Nanotechnology Engineering, Engineering Physics, Biophysics or any other multi-disciplinary degree.
    • Strong biological lab techniques.
    • Experience or knowledge of microfabrication.
    • Knowledge of fluid dynamics or thermodynamics.
    • Experience with the design and building of prototype instruments.
    • Experience with Solidworks or other 3D cad software.
