Food Service Supervisor and Prep Cook - Sherwood Park, Canada - THE CHOPPED LEAF
Description
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees.
- Consider and follow all food safety precautions.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment at all times
- Prepare salads, breads, salad dressings and sauces
- Gather food ingredients from the refrigerator or freezer as required by the chef
- Ensure food is stored away properly when not in use
- Study the menu and prepare ingredients ahead of schedule
- Learn about the cooking methods and techniques employed in the kitchen

From $16.00 per hour
