Job Brief:


The Warehouse Personnel will be responsible for processing and packaging items for shipment and receiving incoming merchandise for warehouse storage.

This role will also use warehouse equipment (forklift, skid steer, etc.) for loading and unloading of trucks and will use a company truck to make customer deliveries with a focus on safety and customer service.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents.
  • Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or electronically; pack goods to be shipped with identifying information and shipping instructions.
  • Loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents; record shortages and reject damaged goods.
  • Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
  • Maintain internal, manual or computerized recordkeeping systems.
  • Pick parts from inventory for open orders and stage for shipping.
  • Take part and contribute to daily housekeeping duties for the warehouse, storage and yard.
  • Will make material order deliveries to customer locations and pickup material orders from vendors using company vehicle in a timely and safe fashion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Willingness to learn or have experience operating a forklift, skid steer or other warehouse equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
  • Manual dexterity (ability to perform lifting, climbing, bending and carrying items).
  • Ability to pull and back up trailers up to 30 feet longer would be an asset, training provided.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good written and verbal comprehension.
  • Customer service focused.
  • Commitment to safety by participation in Company provided safety training and meetings.
  • Strong time management are important.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Oil and Gas service industry is an asset.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule (stat holidays, weekends, overtime as required).
  • Valid unrestricted Class 5 Driver s License.
  • Forklift and skid steer experience or certification would be considered an asset, training would be provided as required.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, (IFS) experience would be considered an asset.

Education:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
