Loader Operator


The Loader Operator's main focus is to support the Highway's construction production, and becoming a key member of the crew.


What is the role?

  • Keeps asphalt paver bins constantly fed with front end loader.
  • Loading and directing trucks.
  • Accepts daily aggregate deliveries from suppliers and keeps aggregate piles maintained.
  • Helps foreman and plant operator with maintenance & repair of drum mix asphalt plant during break downs.
  • Performs daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
  • Operates loader on public or private roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones' surroundings.
  • Ensures company equipment is operated in a safe manner and in accordance with Carmacks Equipment maintenance practices.
  • Attends daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
  • Completes daily safety documentation.

What we value?

  • Minimum 3 years of experience running a Loader
  • Possesses proven abilities in loader operation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Experience working with a highways crew is a strong asset
  • Overtime and weekend work is required
