Temporary Full Time (up to 12 months)

As a member of the Logistics, Food & Nutrition Services team, the Logistics, Food and Nutrition Clerk provides

clerical support services for the Department.


Role Responsibilities

  • Checks invoices for accuracy and researches any discrepancies (prices and extensions)
  • Enters all invoices, costing and inventory for all three sites,
  • Prepares confidential weekly financial reports (WOR, Cost recap, Unit transmittals, purchasing reports,
- inventory totals and late payables report)

  • Extends inventory figures and updates prices weekly, in excel spreadsheet
  • Calculates nourishment, floor supply, catering requisition costs and prepares monthly recovery summaries
  • Prepares payroll sheets and statistics
  • Documents records of statistics, vacations, sick time and overtime
  • Prepares schedule and conducts callins for SMOL and MHS with Manager's approval
  • Completes cash reports, and other weekly and monthly statistical data
  • Manages Director's calendar and books appointments as assigned
  • Performs clerical functions such as preparing meeting agendas, taking minutes at meetings, photocopying
- (invoices, weekly financial reports, patient menus, etc.) requisitioning supplies and answering the phone

  • Provides backup coverage in Logistics, Food and Nutrition Services as required by:
  • Assisting in provision of food services for centralized patient tray service, cafeteria production for staff
and visitors, and catering events

  • Assisting with routine food preparation tasks
  • Operating a variety of food service equipment
  • Covers for the Logistics Coordinators as required for the Hospital Patient & Item Transport system (TDSS) that
enables a Hospital Patient Transport/Messenger Department to track Patient and Material movements
throughout the hospital by
o Resetting user passwords

  • Verifying that the peripherals are working properly
  • Monitoring system performance
  • Monitoring network communication
  • Assists in movement of Kitchen items and Patients to Therapy, as requested

Required Qualifications and Experience:


  • Completion of the requirements of the National Food Safety Training Certificate Program, required
  • Minimum one year experience in a food and nutrition services department, preferably in a healthcare
- environment

  • Minimum one year experience with accounts payable
  • Two years' postsecondary education in office administration; equivalent relevant education and experience
