About the job

As a Retail Sales Merchandising Manager, you will be accountable for:
The Retail Sales Merchandising Manager is responsible of Danone's merchandising capabilities across Canada.

Aligned with Danone's strategic PICOS (Picture of success) retail plan, the RMS plans and ensures optimal merchandising support to our clients at keeping Danone products fully stocked and available to consumers - shelves and displays.

The Manager will succeed by managing internal and external stakeholders at dispatching the workforce, building the right store mix, meeting store visit objectives, chasing additional in-store space opportunities and proving continuous coaching and feedback.


More specifically:


  • Collaborate with Danone Retail Development Managers and Retail Development Specialists to identify the needs and store coverages.
  • Collaborate with our thirdparty customer manager to review staffing status/opportunities and budget.
  • Collaborate with local community agencies at recruiting talents within Danone's First Chance Employment Program
  • Ensure start up training and job shadow between the merchandisers and Danone Retail Development Specialists
  • Review results/performance of all merchandisers to meet objectives.
  • Weekly field visits to assess the level of execution and provide coaching
  • Support employees with technology and customer challenges
  • Analyze internal store data to identify onshelfavailability opportunities
  • Active player in the development of talents at Danone
  • Ability to understand and mobilize Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives with multiple stakeholders

About you

  • University degree in business administration or another relevant field
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in Consumer Package Goods (CPG). Ideally in retail sales.
  • Ability to lead and communicate priorities
  • Ability to collaborate and execute projects
  • Strong training and coaching skills.
  • Effectiveness in managing information and communications using various tools and procedures (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI tools, Nielsen data)_ _
  • Ability to travel to BC, Alberta, Prairies and Quebec on a bimonthly basis.
  • Based out of Greater Toronto area
  • Bilingualism is an asset (French and English)
