The role will require the District Operations manager to focus on people, values, budget, efficiency, customer service, strategy, and innovation, the District Operation Manager will provide leadership and oversee overall operations for the Plant.

This includes safety, quality control, budget/cost controls, regulatory requirements, people management, transport and logistics, maintenance programs, facility management, equipment utilization, and performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain constant communication with management and staff to ensure proper operations of the organization
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customerservice standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
  • Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Responsible for all department supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees
  • Monitors and ensures that employees are performing their functions safely and productively
  • Makes recommendations for changes or improvement, when necessary, in order to prevent accident or injuries
  • Monitors department work productivity, and recommends and implements changes to continually improve work productivity
  • Develops supervisors, particularly in the management techniques of planning, organizing, leading and controlling through continue coaching and feedback on performance
  • Ensure that operational and customer related functions are completed timely, accurate and sufficient to meet standards
  • Meet with the key team members regularly to discuss and analyze reports with the goal of improving productivity and service
  • Ensure continual improvement of productivity standards and team member safety performance in all phases of the operation in order to achieve all financial/budgetary goals
  • Initiate actions to assure timely resolution of identified hazards or unsafe conditions and practices
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
  • Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization's internal capacity
  • Actively pursue strategic and operational objectives
  • Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget
  • Track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed
  • Facilities management
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team within a timesensitive and demanding environment
  • Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
  • Partner with crossfunctional support teams in improving the proprietary tools and systems
  • Work closely with health and safety department to make sure activities remain compliant
  • Oversee materials and inventory management
  • Ensure all staff are compliant in daily safety measures, and are in regulatory compliance with all uptodate safety training;
  • Provide leadership and coaching while setting an example of safety practices

Qualification and Skills:


  • 5+ years Operations Management experience in a process or manufacturing environment
  • Degree in Operations Management or related field
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage within an established budget as well as strong knowledge of budgetary processes, P&L statements, asset management, and project management
  • Strong personal and professional judgment, when making hiring decisions as well as in finding the best solution to business dilemmas
  • Adaptability to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly
  • Organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
  • Leadership and coaching skills while setting an example of safety practices
