As a

VP, Product Assurance & Quality you will serve as a key member of the Corporate Engineering and Quality Leadership team.


What you'll do:


  • Maintain a competent and independent Quality and Product Safety function that delivers the highest level of quality assurance across the business, and ensuring that audits are conducted by suitably qualified, competent and independent personnel
  • Provide direction in developing and maintaining an appropriate Quality, Product Safety culture within the business
  • Identify and drive improvements to the Quality and Product Safety Management Systems
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Senior Management team to ensure they remain compliant with the latest Quality and Product Assurance legislation
  • Manage and maintain Quality, Regulatory, Customer approvals and proactively liaise with customers, 3rd party auditors, national aviation authorities, and legal bodies on all associated matters
  • Provide statistical analysis on Quality performance, Product Safety occurrences, hazards and near misses, and report on the effectiveness of the Quality and Product Assurance through the relevant Business Management Review
  • Develop, deliver and maintain a risk based audit program to give assurance to the ELT, that all Quality and Product Assurance and regulatory requirements are being met
  • Provide assurance to the COO that all Business units are meeting their obligations with respect to compliance with Quality and Product Safety processes and procedures, and providing support to the respective BU's in ensuring appropriate action is being taken to address deficiencies
  • Manage and maintain a Continued Professional Development plan to ensure personally remaining competent and up to date with regulatory changes
  • Identify changes in regulations, produce a detailed gap analysis and impact statement, and provide leadership to the BU Directors to ensure relevant processes, procedures, and risk assessments, are created or updated to address changes
  • Ensure all StandardAero Quality and Product Assurance corporate reporting requirements are met, and providing support to the respective BU leaders in ensuring appropriate action is being taken to address deficiencies
  • Collect and analyze Quality metrics from across the Enterprise. Design, propose and implement programs to improve results as required
  • Ensure an assessment of all suppliers is conducted to satisfy the needs of the organization, and any associated risks are identified, and providing support to ensure they are managed effectively by the relevant BU
**What skills you will use: - Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field

  • 15+ years of engineering experience
  • Ability to plan, schedule and allocate resources effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and multiple deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven experience working in a highstress, highenergy environment
  • Proven analytical and decision making skills
  • Ability to lead and influence
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments
  • Ability to mentor and coach staff, bring together teams

Preferred Characteristics:


  • Current or past national aviation authority delegated engineering authority
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
  • Prior corporate aviation background
