Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, Polygon is looking for a committed and organized junior lawyer who plans to grow with our in-house legal team.

Responsibilities include:

The junior counsel will work closely with the rest of our experienced legal team and directly with individuals in other groups, as well as senior leadership within the Polygon organization.

Scope of work will include the following:

Real estate development and development marketing
Real estate purchase and sale and acquisition
Strata property law
Construction law
Regulatory and compliance
Financing and lender security
Corporate work relating to Polygon and its affiliated companies
Miscellaneous work including: tax, intellectual property, civil litigation/CRT

Requirements:

13 years postcall real estate experience working in a law firm or inhouse with a property developer
Qualifications as a lawyer able to practice in British Columbia and in good standing with the Law Society
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
Strong written and oral communication skills
A team player who is also able to work independently, exercising initiative and judgment
Fully vaccinated for Covid 19
