Skills Development Centre provides vocational and non-vocational strength-based programs, and offers a wide range of products and services both locally and nationally to individuals and organizations.

Products and services can be purchased and/or are free (fully sponsored or subsidized).

YWCA Toronto's Education and Training Institute is a vocational college registered with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities offering two certified programs:
Professional Office Administration Certificate and Professional Office Administration Diploma.

Moving On To Success is an employment training program for low income women and gender diverse people, some of whom may experience domestic violence or who are at risk of abuse.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Conducts marketing and industry research to identify key opportunities for innovation;
  • Assembles and compiles marketing research, data, statistics and other information;
  • Checks and analyzes information gathered for completeness and accuracy;
  • Supports in coordinating events, interviews, meetings, and focus groups;
  • Prepares brief reports, manuals and general correspondence;
  • Assists in the coordination of different program modules;
  • Assists in other administrative duties including scheduling and confirming appointments, photocopying and collating documents for distribution, mailing, sending and receiving messages and documents;
  • Assists in other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • College or University (Have or pursuing a relevant postsecondary degree in Business, Marketing or
  • Communications (Cases for Equivalency will be considered);
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office 2019/365 especially Word and Excel;
  • Must possess good analytical and problemsolving skills;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
  • A highlevel of attention to detail;
  • Digital and social media marketing experience;
  • Commitment to work with diverse groups;

Note:
This a Full-Time, contract position for 8 weeks.


Eligibility Criteria

Eligible applicant must:
(1) Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;

(2) Have registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year;

(3) Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person whom refugee protection has been conferred upon under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;

(4) Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant Provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.

**International students are not eligible participants. International students include anyone who is temporarily in Canada for studies and who is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada. Youth awaiting a refugee status ruling, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, youth visa or work visa are ineligible.
