SITE CLERK
JOB DESCRIPTION
Your primary role will see you serve as a key member of the project delivery team for FirstCon Group Ltd., ("FirstCon") fulfilling the role of Site Clerk for the projects you are assigned.
Principal Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Provide strong administrative support to the project site field management team and the project superintendent.
- Assist the project superintendent, assistant to the superintendent, and assistant/finishing superintendent(s) as requested
- Ensure that all work, under your assigned responsibility, is performed in accordance with the project drawings and specifications, and in accordance with FirstCon safety policies and procedures and in accordance with FirstCon operating procedures.
- Provide the necessary communications and notices to related stakeholders, as required.
- Ensure health and safety compliance with all trades under your responsibility and correct, and notify your supervisor of, any observed hazards on site.
- Work together with consultants and representatives of authorities having jurisdiction, as directed by your supervisor.
- Trade communications
- Change Orders & Purchase Orders
- Have invoices signed by site super, prepare PO or CO for approval by PM, efile all project invoices
- General document management
- Scheduling of meetings and meeting minutes
- Work transmittals
- RFI's & Site Instructions update these and all logs as necessary
- Health & Safety meetings, walk through, accident reports
- Knowledge of Site Instructions, RFI's, Drawings, logging of updated information
- Collecting all Hand Over documents at end of project and file
- Assist in tracking deficiencies shown in the Pretechnical Audit
- Collecting Account Finalizations/Closeouts from Trades
- Hoist Scheduling
- Occupancy Files (Binder for inspector)
EXPERIENCE
- 35 years progressive experience in the Canadian construction industry
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills in dealing with owner groups, trades and consultants
- Knowledge of government regulations regarding the construction industry
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent coordination and multitasking ability
- Extremely organized and can perform under tight deadlines and competing priorities
- Proven team player and comfortable in a dynamic environment
Salary:
$45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
Site Clerk: 3 years (preferred)
Canadian Construction Industry: 3 years (preferred)
