    Business Development Specialist - Windsor, Canada - Fuze HR Solutions

    Description

    We are looking for a Business Development Specialist for a tier-one custom steel fabrication manufacturer, serving as a supplier to several of the world's largest mining, construction, and locomotive companies. This individual will operate throughout North America in supporting business opportunity development for the company's four plants located in Southwestern Ontario. This position will report directly to the Director of Sales. This is a position that requires travel throughout the United States and Canada to meet with current and potential customers. Estimated travelling requirements are between 40% - 70% annually to different locations throughout North America.

    Compensation:

    • 110k+ base salary + 20% bonus annually
    • benefits from day 1
    • pension plan with 3% match
    • car allowance + gas card

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop new prospects and opportunities aligned to the company's capabilities and targeted account acquisition plans.
    • Manage relationships as first point-of-contact for customers and facilitate communications between the customer and the internal teams.
    • Communicate new services and capabilities to customers in order to develop new business, and ensure customers are informed of changes to the company's offerings.
    • Work closely with engineering and estimating teams to efficiently quote customer projects, and communicate customer feedback, concerns, and facilitate quote review process with the customer to secure projects.
    • Attend trade shows, group conferences, and other events as an opportunity to network with other attendees and identify opportunities to develop customer opportunities.
    • Participates in annual budgeting and sales planning processes to determine operational scheduling and planning and indicate planned opportunities from the customer base.
    • Negotiate with customers regarding delivery and pricing of projects, and align customer expectations and needs with internal teams.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years' experience in Sales, Account Management, or Business Development roles in the industrial steel fabrication, structural steel sales, or other related industries, or equivalent experience in similar roles.
    • College Degree or Diploma in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or another related field.
    • Valid Passport and ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States to various customer sites as required.
    • Experience interpreting blueprint and CAD drawings preferred.
    • Professional demeanor and ability to communicate effectively with executive-level individuals from a variety of different industries
