Take the first step towards designing your career with Stantec. We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced data management professional to join our team. As a professional services firm, we are seeking a Supervisor, Data Management to complement our team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR Services in North America, the incumbent's primary role is day-to-day management of the HR Service Center data team in North America and associated work.

This position provides data delivery oversight, ensuring a broad range of standardized and customized Human Resources data is entered, maintained and reported accurately into our HR systems for business needs, following established quality standards and timelines.


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the collection, processing and maintenance of HR data coordinated by the team in various HR systems. Data may include employee record details across various countries, with primary focus on North America, UK and IN. Handson data processing of complex transactions will also be required.
  • Supervise, recruit and train staff within the North America team. Work closely with the team members to ensure service and quality standards of excellence are maintained with a focus on driving team and individual performance.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of professionals by ensuring appropriate career developmental and training plans are in place for all team members. Foster positive engagement and work with team to develop skills in their careers.
  • Identify opportunities and data gaps to improve and develop process, efficiency, effectiveness, and management of risk.
  • Develop and implement secure data management procedures for data handling and analysis and establish consistent approaches and clear expectations to meet internal standards and protocols with attention to all technical aspects.
  • Analyse information and data systems and prepare reports on metrics to improve staff productivity and operational excellence and assists with projects, as assigned.
  • Research and respond to complex data requests and escalated inquiries, as appropriate. Actively troubleshoot datarelated problems and work to anticipate foreseeable obstacles, issues, or risks.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, Payroll and other stakeholders on Oracle processes and data requests to ensure data integrity, reporting requirements and solutions can be achieved. As part of the HR Service Center function, partner with the HR Service Center Leadership to ensure consistent workflow practices between the whole team and function.
  • Assist with other team projects, such as acquisitions, compensation toolkit, tool/system enhancements, etc.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Experience with HRMS (Oracle) systems is required.
  • Skill in analyzing and resolving complex issues, customer service and implementation of processes.
  • Proven experience as a people leader offering training, coaching and mentoring of staff, and assessing and communicating performance.
  • Comfort with conflict resolution, listening, providing constructive feedback for development.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of complex data from various sources with experience in delegation and appropriate resource allocation.
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion, accuracy and sound judgment.
  • Strength in problemsolving and critical thinking.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional follow through and prioritization focused, demonstrating flexibility and dependability.
  • Strong understanding of data sciences and information management principles, with strong skills in data synthesis and interpretation to drive recommendations and process improvements to close gaps.
  • Proficient with advanced Excel, database management, SQL, python programming skills are advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, problemsolving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills. Fluency in English is required for this role.
  • Proven experience to build partnerships and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
