The Department of Economic Development Investment and Trade is looking for a skilled and professional individual to fill a Program Coordinator (IC3) position located in Winnipeg.

Qualifications:

Essential:


  • Postsecondary degree in Business/Commerce or Finance. An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience working with financial programs including loans, grants, tax credits and/or equity investment programs.
  • Ability to explain and interpret legislation, regulations, policies and procedures to different stakeholders.
  • Experience working with, and thorough understanding of, complex financial statements.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Proven ability to work independently under mínimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate effective working relationships with colleagues, other departments and clients.
  • Superior written communication skills for the purpose of creating briefing notes, reports, memos, forms, guidelines, policies and presentations for internal and external stakeholders alike.
  • Efficient verbal communication with the ability to explain complex financial concepts and terminology to financial and nonfinancial audience.
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the aptitude to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines with limited lead time.

Desired:


  • Contract management experience, including experience conducting compliance audits.

Duties:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of financial supports to businesses, including administration of grant agreements.

This includes consulting and working with clients on a variety of financial programs including grants, loans and tax credits through all stages of the programs including review, approval, monitoring, compliance and managing funding disbursements.

The position also provides support as needed on various other initiatives in support of Manitoba's economic growth objectives.
