(3-year contractual position with possible renewal)


DUTIES


Reporting to the Special Advisor to the President, Continuing Education, and working closely with the Web Manager, Division of Marketing and Communications, the Web Content and Digital Marketing Advisor will be responsible for the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of web content and digital marketing activities for centralized continuing education initiatives.


This position provides strategic counsel and works collaboratively with the Special Advisor to the President, Continuing Education to identify challenges and build strategic web based solutions for promotion and support of university wide continuing education.

Working closely with the Division of Marketing and Communications, the advisor will:

plan, lead, coordinate and maintain the website for centralized continuing education at Memorial University that meets brand and web standards; support the maintenance of web content for major institutional programs or initiatives; plan, execute, and measure digital marketing efforts and campaigns for continuing education that drive student enrolment and advance the University's strategic goals, visibility, and reputation; work with internal university partners, manage projects from inception to completion, and develop strategies that will help meet university marketing goals related to continuing education.

Other additional duties as required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.


QUALIFICATIONS


Experience (3-5 years) in web content management and digital marketing, or related fields; a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

Experience in creating, editing and organizing content using web content management systems; knowledge of web and digital marketing technologies, best practices and trends; ability to prioritize and work independently and also be able to effectively manage multiple and competing deadlines.

Demonstrated sophistication and maturity of judgement in providing strategic counsel is required.

Experience developing and implementing comprehensive digital marketing campaigns is required. Experience managing Google and social media ads, and managing campaign budgets through digital advertising platforms is required. Experience with digital analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics is required. Experience in higher education is preferred.


Strong strategic planning, creative problem-solving and organizational skills; and the ability to learn and adapt to changing marketing and web trends and technology are required.


SALARY $51,611 - $77,412 per annum (Management and Professional)
