Job description

Construction Site Manager:
Permanent Full-Time (~40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, Occasional Weekends).

Overall Scope of Job:
Working collaboratively with stakeholders to fulfill contract requirements for the benefit of the company and clients.
A site manager is responsible for reviewing, understanding, and implementing the design package including technical drawings and specifications. All sites will be maintained, clean, organized, and safe at all times.

This role includes but not limited to:

  • Review of all construction documents prior to commencement of site work to understand the intended construction outcome(s), allotted quantities of material and labour, schedule and timeline.
  • To direct and coordinate site activities with paramount concern for the safety of all employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and visitors in and around the construction site area
  • Responsible to follow and maintain schedule as established by project management team
  • Review progress with City Inspectors to ensure permits are obtained and approved at correct intervals
  • Consistently review site progress, and make recommendations off best construction practices to ensure the highest quality of construction possible.
  • Review and complete progress checklists at key intervals for the Project Manager
  • Communicate with subtrades constantly to ensure they understand the schedule and scope of work
  • Schedule onsite meetings with trades to review the scope of work and details of the project
  • Analyze project progress and make recommendation to adapt scope, timelines, and costs if project is off pace.
  • Review subtrades quality of work and ensure all work completed is up to BC Building Code and quality standards at Embark Homes
  • Ensure Site manager is available on site per the allocations given by the Project Manager
  • Documenting daily logs after every site visit including work that was completed that day, with supporting documents and photos
  • Confirm subtrades complete agreed scopeofwork per approved purchase orders.
  • Implementation of change orders in conjunction with Project Manger and Office Admin Staff.
  • Confirm work is completed once applicable change orders are approved.
  • Maintain the project construction schedule report challenges jeopardizing the schedule.
  • Work to ensure that all aspects of the project are completed on time and within approved budget.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 35Years Experience in Site Supervision of High-End Residential Homes
  • Minimum 35 Years Experience Finish Carpentry or Residential Framing or Relevant Trade experience
Vehicle required to commute to site


Job Types:

Salary:
$70,000 - $80,000 starting depending on level of experience

Education:


  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

Experience:

Site Management: 5 years (required)

  • Carpentry or Framing: 3 years (preferred)
