Description

The Labourer is required to perform tasks involving physical labor at construction projects and to operate a variety of hand and power tools.

• Site clean up, shoveling, sweeping etc.
• Unload tools, prepare building site materials, stack building materials, and set up equipment.
• Follow instructions from construction manager or supervisor.
• Direct traffic safely around the construction site.
• Use construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks.
• Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Ensure regulated and proper headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing are worn.
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Safely operate a variety of tools including nailers, drills, saws, grinders, etc.
• Provide assistance to contractors (i.e. craft workers, electricians, painters) as needed.
• Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials.
• Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly.
• Operate skid steer and forklift.

• Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
• Minimum of 1 year previous construction labour experience required.
• Equipment operation experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures.
• Knowledge of First Aid and CPR.
• Valid Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract and own transportation required.
• Resident of the Bow Valley.
• Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Own handtools an asset.
