Our employment opportunity of the moment:Program Officer, KIX**
As the next Program Officer, you will be managing project grants, supporting the implementation of program strategies for knowledge synthesis, monitoring and evaluation, and communications and engagement by advancing research
in support of international development.

Location:
Ottawa, Canada (Hybrid Mode*)

You have:


  • A PhD or a Masters degree relevant to the program area with a record of research and publication a record of research management.
  • Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing and speaking).
  • Demonstrated research experience and understanding of gender equality, equity, and inclusion issues in current global education policy challenges.
  • Significant experience in project management, problemsolving and facilitating collaborative and transdisciplinary research.
  • Experience in grant management, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge mobilization.
  • A good understanding of the challenges of gender equality and women's empowerment in improving education systems worldwide.

  • Championing gender equality, equity and inclusion issues in applied research to strengthen education systems.
  • Working closely with senior education specialists to manage grants for applied research projects with a range of universities, think tanks, NGOs in Asia and Africa.
  • Supporting the implementation of program strategies for knowledge synthesis, monitoring and evaluation, as well as communications and engagement strategies.
  • Implementing competitive call processes to attract, select and approval of new projects that strengthen the resilience of education systems.
  • Improving research uptake by linking ongoing research with national decisionmaking and global networks.
  • Joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion, and equity.

Additional Information:


  • Hybrid Mode: Have the flexibility to work in hybrid mode (minimum 3 days out of 10 in the office).
This position requires frequent international travel.
