Tandia Financial Credit Union (Tandia) is seeking an Associate to join our team in our Hamilton Region. This is a full-time role and work hours are Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday shifts.

Do you have experience in lending and know the laws and regulations relating to lending, mortgage documentation and administration? Perhaps you have a passion for numbers and mathematical calculations on ratios and amortization schedules? - if so, this could be the ideal role for you

Your Work at a Glance

In this role, you will be a vital part of our in-branch team, serving members, replenishing the ATM and completing treasury management while actively soliciting new business by following up on all member contacts which are generated, and cross selling products to our members.

The Associate is an integral part of growing our business and increasing our membership at this new branch.

With your knowledge you will be able to effectively up-sell and cross-sell Tandia's on-book investment options.

For more comprehensive financial planning needs, you'll be able to spot the opportunity and refer the member to one of our skilled advisors or other members of our Wealth Management team.

We are looking for someone who:

Has completed a degree / diploma in the field of business or commerce
or has equivalent work experience
Has a minimum of 1 to 4 years work experience in a service and selling role in a financial institution
Has knowledge of the financial services industry and a solid grasp of products and services
Has experience with lending, deposit services, knows the policies and legalities regarding lending and the philosophies and principles of the financial industry
Has knowledge of investment products and registered plans
Has an inclination toward numbers, enjoys mathematics and calculations such as ratios, amortization schedules and more
Has the ability to work accurately and with a high degree of attention to detail
Is a highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Is highly proficient in MS Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook and has strong keyboarding skills
Has a strong technical acumen and ability to learn systems and tools quickly
Is comfortable working fulltime hours of 35.5 hours per week including evenings and Saturdays to support the operating hours of the branch
