We are a leader in creating communities for active older adults. We are seeking a _
Wall Panel Installation Foreman_ to join our team based in Halifax, NS.


As the size and scope of our construction projects grow from low-rise to hi-rise buildings, we have formed strategic partnerships with several suppliers of prefabricated steel stud wall panels to allow us to have better control over the safety, quality, cost and schedule of our builds.

The _
Wall Panel Installation Foreman_ holds responsibility to coordinate the logistics of site deliveries and oversee the safe installation of structural wall panels.


What you will do:


  • Review the construction build schedule and act as the planning and logistics liaison between the wall plants and project team.
  • Determine required sequencing of panels and the plan for optimal loading/shipping.
  • Schedule shipping and receiving of wall panels from the wall plant to site.
  • Devise and oversee the craning strategy and the plan to optimize the use of equipment across multiple project sites ensuring all installation activities adhere to company policies and procedures. Ensure all equipment and its operation complies applicable safety standards and legislation.
  • Direct and oversee labour and carpenter trade partners performing the installation tasks to ensure quality standards are achieved (ie. verifying layout, grades, plumb, etc)
  • Instruct and train subtrades as needed for the safe operation of equipment & tools and safe performance of job procedures for installation of panels.
  • Hold daily Toolbox meetings, attend weekly site coordination meetings, construct all erection procedures, JHSA's, SWP's etc in collaboration with the Site Superintendent.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and manage the service agreements with wall plant personnel (ie. deficiencies, missing or incorrect panels)
  • Check finished work and complete QA/QC sheets prior to third party inspections.
  • Coordinate all necessary tools, consumables, rentals and machinery to complete the necessary tasks within the project.

Your required experience & abilities

  • Minimum of 3 years hands on carpentry, foreman, superintendent, or other construction profession background required with hands on experience installing wall panels is required.
  • Possess strong communication and, decision making, and conflict resolution skills to represent the company in a professional manner with a focus on finding resolutions to issues or problems.
  • Able to promote teamwork amongst the field team and wall plant personnel to achieve mutually advantageous outcomes.
  • Able to read and interpret construction drawings, sketches and project plans and answer technical questions related to the work being performed.
  • Must possess experience with and valid certifications for the equipment operating with valid training tickets: Telehandlers, arial work platforms, fall arrest, WHMIS, (etc.).
  • Structural and/or miscellaneous steel installation and understanding of CWB procedures is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and with acceptable driver's abstract.
  • Basic computer literacy and good documentation and tracking skills.
