Position:
Security Guard, Commercial


Location: 65 East Cargo Road, Mount Hope


Schedule:
Mon-Fri 15:00 to 23:00 (Temp coverage until February)


Hourly Pay Rate:
$16. 55


Training pay rate:
$16. 55 for 16 hours


What does a Security Guard in Hamilton do?:

  • Security Screening with Handheld metal detectors
  • Ensuring all employees are screened in and out of the Sorting area
  • Inbound/Outbound truck logging and inspection
  • Interior and exterior patrols
  • Liaising with visitors, customers. and the general public on a consistent basis
  • Maintaining a positive, productive work environment through positive teamwork
  • Respond to internal alarms
  • Process inbound/outbound truck
  • Take calls at security desk

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Hamilton?:

  • Valid Provincial Security Guard license
  • First AID CPR
  • Previous logistics experience an asset
  • Strong computer skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment
  • Ability to perform site patrols
  • CTPAT required within 3 months
