SSR Mining - Seabee Gold Operation (SGO) is hiring for a Planning Clerk.


About Your New Role:


Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance Operations, the Planning Clerk, will be responsible for managing the planning of scheduled servicing and maintenance of mobile surface and underground equipment ensuring compliance with all safety and statutory requirements.


You will work closely with the Supervisor, Maintenance, and the Maintenance Planner to ensure the availability of the equipment and reduce associated costs.

You will also utilize current maintenance planning procedures to generate planned maintenance and major component repair cost budgets.


The operation fleet consists of Scoops/ Haul Trucks/ Jumbo Drills/ Loaders/ Dozers/ Graders/ Surface light vehicles and other related equipment regarding underground and surface operations.


Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to plan, organize, & implement effective maintenance policies / procedures within the maintenance department.
  • Input daily equipment hours and downtime. Process work orders and orders required nonstock items.
  • Ensure coordination between maintenance crews where necessary, and maintenance crews within operations.
  • Work with the supervisor and planner to interpret mid to long term plans and insuring these are translated to a daytoday maintenance schedule to meet those plans.
  • Scheduling daily equipment preventative maintenance service and coordinating this with Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Monitoring and tracking the equipment component oil analysis program.
  • Monitoring and tracking of major component changes, wear items, service hour variance, equipment utilization, and damages.
  • Daily upkeep of equipment repair and maintenance history records.
  • Monitoring and tracking equipment warranty considerations.

Your Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, and Microsoft excel, word and One Note
  • Touch typing and minutetaking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to correspond on behalf of the mobile maintenance group.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail and the willingness to learn.
  • High level or organizational skills
  • Demonstrated abilities to be proactive and receptive to change regarding the short
- and long-term maintenance planning process.


Your Education and Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of administrative experience.

About Our Working Conditions:


This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.
