WHAT'S THE OPPORTUNITY?


We are looking for a thoughtful and strong leader to join our Philanthropy and Engagement team In this position, you will be responsible for the ongoing success of the team, and you are accountable for the development, support and execution of Camino's Philanthropy and Engagement programs, including comprehensive communications and marketing plans.

If you have exceptional people and leadership skills, a proven record in developing and executing fundraising, communications and marketing plans, and a passion for writing and storytelling, this role is for you

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:


  • Lead your team alignment with the organization's core values and work to achieve Camino's mission and vision.
  • Leads and oversees the operations of the communications and philanthropy team. This involves providing leadership to team members creating exceptional internal and external audiences experiences.
  • Ensures the department's consistency, quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all communications, engagement, and fund development activities.
  • Develop and implement internal and external engagement strategies encompassing multichannel marketing, communications, and fund development plans to broaden awareness, strengthen brand identity and generate support for our mission.
  • Manage the branding of all internal and external Camino print, promotional, and electronic communications.
  • Oversees the development of the organization's website, ensuring it is sustained and updated as per the organization's needs.
  • Embrace a relationshipbased strengths approach to connect donors, volunteers, and community partners to our mission.
  • Maintain and develop media relationships and opportunities, disseminating messages through the appropriate channels as needed.
  • Ensures best practices and standards around accessibility standards, equity, personal information, and confidentiality are implemented in all fundraising, communications and marketing needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and team members across the organization and at all levels to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Engage employees at all levels to promote a culture of philanthropy, volunteering, and community involvement.
  • Perform other duties necessary to support the success of development for Camino and serve as an agency representative to the community.
  • To always perform work safely and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:


  • Postsecondary degree with a focus in Communications, Fundraising, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in relevant professional roles in the charitable sector, with demonstrated success in fund development and communications strategies.
