As a health and wellness organization, the First Nations Health Authority has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.

Position Summary:


Responsibilities:


  • Manages the daytoday operations of FNHA infrastructure by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair.
  • Creates, maintains, updates and audits AD/Exchange user accounts, access permissions, mailbox quotas.
  • Designs, develops, configures, and maintains Security & Distribution Groups and Group Policies within Active Directory Environment.
  • Manages Endpoint Protection Trend-Office Scan and Trend-Deep Security of enduser computing and server platforms and assist firstlevel in the detection, escalation, remediation and analysis of virus, spyware, and malware.

Qualifications:


Education

  • University degree in the field of computer science or management information systems or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Occupational Certification

  • Microsoft Certifications required: Microsoft MCSA, MCSE or other certifications.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical position responsible for managing server environments.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining all manners of server hardware and associated network equipment, including SCSI, RAID, and I/O topology.
  • Experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with TCP/IP and Windows network protocols, firewall management, and operating system configuration.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:


Knowledge

  • Proficient with Server virtualization, Windows Server, Microsoft System Center Service Manager, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, IIS, Citrix, Lync, Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN or NAS, and backup and restoration.

Competencies

  • Ability to perform load balancing, clustering, and caching procedures and processes.
  • Ability to work within design teams and mentor IT colleagues.
  • Ability to conduct research and analysis.
