Position Overview

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be an essential role in upholding Elmwood's brand identity for our internal and external stakeholders to meet our awareness, advocacy, support and fundraising priorities.

Role Responsibilities

• Enhance existing marketing and communications strategies in collaboration with Elmwood Team Members
• Prepare content required for all marketing and communications materials including both the written copy and visual/graphic needs
• Manage website edits
• Drives engagement on social media on all channels by managing, creating, and adapting content
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and distribute the monthly enewsletter and quarterly project specific newsletter
• Creates all collateral for various activities/events (sponsorship packages, save the dates, event programs etc.)
• Measures and analyzes marketing tactics for return on investment including stakeholder engagement
• Liaises with media and marketing suppliers and sponsors, and preparing copy for print or broadcast
• Manages the collection, culling and dissemination of photos as needed
• Coordinates storytelling of those we serve, volunteers, partners and donors
• Development of Annual report including both written copy and visual elements
• Provides support to Fundraising and Community Engagement events and campaigns as required
• Collaborate with team members to ensure one brand voice for organization through the development of content

Qualifications And Experience

• 25 years of marketing and communications relevant experience
• Some postsecondary education in marketing and/or communications or related fields
• Experience in a notforprofit environment would be a strong asset
• Experience with Canva or other visual graphic software
• High level of proficiency in social media platforms
• You are a selfdriven team player with a sharp eye for details, exceptional written and oral communication skills, excellent organizational skills and strong ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• You are a creative individual who is also adaptable and can think outside of the box with the ability to take initiative and practice good decision making skills and problem solving
