SUMMARY


The
Business Intelligence Analyst position has been created to address client's demand for analytical insights that ultimately drives action-based decision-making.

The Business Intelligence Analyst supports an account leadership team to develop business intelligence processes and tools using formal and informal data to help customers and sponsors define and achieve their goals.

The role will uncover several perspectives on a problem or opportunity, determining any and all drivers towards or barriers to successful performance, and makes recommendations based on what is discovered.

This role is responsible for multi-discipline (Facility Management, Project Management, Energy Management, etc.) analytics with focus on creating dashboards & reporting, workflow tools, standards & process improvement, root cause analyses and corrective action implementation.


This role will work in collaboration with all key BGIS departments to ensure full support of all activities and play a key role in our INTEGRATED approach to operating buildings.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety Ownership and Regulatory Compliance

  • Comply with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection and mandated by BGIS Health Safety and Environment Teams and enforced by law.
  • Learning and understanding business objectives, contract key performance indicators and client reporting requirements.
  • Develop, maintain and optimize Business Intelligence (BI) tools and dashboards to provide insights and actionable intelligence.
  • Organize and optimize data, including liaising with IT on data needs and availability, to establish efficient data management processes, including automation opportunities.
  • Reporting, trending/forecasting, modeling, analysis and compilation of performance data (financial results, Key Performance Indicator results, work order insights, etc.).
  • Lead problem solving and develop recommendations based on data interpretation and analysis to transform behaviors and techniques, including process mapping and efficiency/feasibility analyses.
  • Use of advanced statistical concepts and machine learning & AI to analyze and model data findings to provide business recommendations.
  • Draft and distribute reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually, as applicable, with focus on insights and storytelling that interpret data into easily digestible information.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • College diploma with a minimum of 3 years relevant job experience


  • Data Management

  • Ability to process large amounts of data in an organized manner. Able to leverage insights and opportunities from data and metrics to build strategies and make recommendations.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Comfort Around Higher Management can deal comfortably with more senior managers; can present to more senior managers without undue tension and nervousness; understands how senior managers think and work; can determine the best way to get things done with them by talking their language and responding to their needs; can craft approaches likely to be seen as appropriate and positive.
  • Excellent written and oral communication including ability to communicate with users with various technical backgrounds.
  • Technical Learning Picks up on technical things quickly; can learn new skills and knowledge; is good at learning new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge; does well in technical courses and seminars.
