Labs-Mart Inc. is an independent third-party testing laboratory that provides analytical services to the supplement, food and cannabis industry.

Labs-Mart Edmonton is a cGMP certified analytical laboratory and carries ISO 17025 accreditation.- We are seeking a full-time Analyst for our Edmonton location.

This position provides the opportunity to work for a growing company, achieve professional growth within the organization and cross-train in a variety of analytical chemistry techniques.- Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the Laboratory Analyst will be responsible for the routine testing of client supplied samples in accordance with standard operating procedures, generation, interpretation and management of analytical data and troubleshooting and maintenance of analytical instruments.


Duties and responsibilities include but not necessarily limited to:


  • Prepare analytical standards
  • Perform daily balance verification
  • Perform monthly pipette verification
  • Weigh samples
  • Perform sample processing in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Maintain records of raw data in Labs-Mart lab notebooks
  • Record final data in database
  • SOP review and update
  • Calibrate and maintain analytical instruments
  • Training for new employees
  • Perform installation qualification and operation qualification (or instrumental calibration)
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines, including GMP and ISO1702
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements:


  • Required: BSc in Chemistry or technology
  • Asset: experience with ICP-MS
  • Experience with HPLC, GC or LC instrumentation an asset
  • Working knowledge of GMP and/or ISO17025 guidelines
  • Ability to multitask
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fastpaced environment to meet turnaround times
  • Work independently and as part of a team
