Responsibilities:
- Review interrogatories and briefing notes, coordinate strategies for settlement conferences with senior management, cross examination and/or staff arguments, and any materials that support legal counsel in crossexamination in preparation of public hearings
- Provide direction, coaching, mentorship, and motivation to direct reports
- Identify and promote development opportunities through training, work assignments and formal succession planning initiatives to nurture a highperformance culture
- Provide regular performance feedback, informal feedback, talent planning and overall performance assessment.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and other stakeholders to exchange, share, and develop opportunities for innovation, and new policies and processes to align with corporate goals and objectives
- Motivate the team to deliver the timely, highquality service to highest to internal and external stakeholders using innovation, creative solutions, and professional approaches
- Demonstrate thought leadership while understanding the business implications of decisions and the alignment to corporate strategy
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
- Graduate degree in a related field would be preferred
- 7 years' experience in one or more of policy research, rate regulation, planning, design, and construction in a unionized environment
- 3 to 5 years of management experience in a regulated industry, utility, public sector, or notforprofit setting
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including formal presentations to audiences
- Knowledge of costofservice principles and the Ontario Energy Board's Renewed Regulatory Framework is required
- Knowledge of relevant legislation that affects the Ontario energy sector
