Financial Services Associate 1 (FSA 1)

The Financial Services Associate position is where most banking professionals start their career. This front-line service and sales role will build the foundation for a long career in banking. Traditionally called a "teller", this role has evolved to include an elevated level of knowledge than previously required. Times have changed and so has the role. If you see yourself working in banking for the long run, this is where to start.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Process transactional needs of clients including cash transactions, deposits, withdrawals, loan/bill payments, cheque cashing/ordering, foreign currency, fund transfers, drafts, official cheques, and personal information updates on accounts.
  • Initiate conversations with clients to proactively identify their financial needs.
  • Enthusiastically sell BlueShore Financial products and services or refer clients with more complex requirements to specialized branch staff.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 12 years of customer service and cash experience (sales experience preferred).
  • Some postsecondary education preferred.

Pay Transparency

Pay transparency is an important characteristic of our recruitment process and overall BlueShore culture which supports a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce.

This role is on a salary step program that provides timely recognition of skill development at important intervals. Salaries on this program are reviewed quarterly to reflect progress made. The range for this role is $ $24.62/hour.
