As our Donations Administrator, you ensure that gifts from our donors, who help fuel our mission, are diligently stewarded, recorded, deposited and receipted, giving our donors confidence that MCC BC is accomplishing its world-changing goal.


JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to MCC BC's Director of Finance and as a member of the MCC BC Finance team, the Donations Administrator is primarily responsible for donation processing, maintaining donor contact information, bank deposits, and general filing.

The Donations Administrator may also support other Finance processes, as circumstances require.

The Donations Administrator daily demonstrates MCC BC's Christian beliefs, values, and mission while providing approachable and expert administrative services and support to colleagues, vendors, clients, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Donations Administration
  • Prepare bank deposits and take deposits to MCC BC's financial institutions, liaising with the financial institution to troubleshoot and report, as required
  • Correspond, as necessary, with donors regarding staledated cheques, insufficient funds, request for preauthorized deposits, etc.
  • Create donation batches in donor database software from a variety of sources, and code accordingly
  • Import donation batches into accounting software
  • Ensure designated gifts are credited as per donor wishes
  • Oversee monthly donations by credit card (EFT) and bank debit (AFT) to ensure the payments are processed correctly and the donation information is entered into donor database, and keep records up to date for monthly donors
  • Ensure web donations processed by MCC Canada are documented and that receipts are issued
  • Support MCC BC leaders and members of MCC BC's Advancement Team with reporting and analysis from the donor database as requested
  • Field inquiries from donors regarding donations and receipts
  • Assist with receiving credit card donations
  • Maintain donor contact information in donor database
  • Print/Email annual and perdonation receipts and ensure thank you letters are updated
  • Other Donations Administration and Finance responsibilities assigned by Director of Finance or MCC BC senior leadership, as required
