Systems Support Technician

Location:

Commensurate with education and experience (Group F - Unifor 819/191)


Role:


This position is ideal for a motivated, dynamic, hard-working and innovative person who has exceptional drive, is a team player and is looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity.

Typical rotation shift pattern would include days, nights, weekends and overtime as required.


Responsibilities:


  • Troubleshooting, repair, and perform preventative maintenance of television and AM & FM radio broadcast equipment and systems, transmitters, computers and broadcast computer networks.
  • Configure and optimize multiple broadcast feed/receive appliances and circuits.
  • Create, amend and maintain comprehensive diagrams and notes of electronic equipment, wiring and software.
  • Communicate effectively with members of the technical team to resolve equipment and system issues.
  • Communicate with show producers and operators to resolve any technical issues
  • Occasionally working outside in different environments

Qualifications:


  • Experience repairing and troubleshooting radio broadcast equipment and systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Windows Server and IP networking. Basic programming knowledge would be considered an asset.
  • Postsecondary education in Electronics and/or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal), customer service focused, extremely detail oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast paced dynamic environment.
  • Must be flexible, adaptable and able to prioritize multiple job demands.
  • A valid full driver's license (abstract may be required)
