Description

Respite Caregivers are contractors who work in the City of Vancouver.

They provide a break to parents of children with developmental disabilities from caregiving responsibilities and a fun, safe and supervised outing/activity for the child.

Schedules are based on the caregiver's availability and the family's needs, but usually entail a 4-6 hour long session on a weekend day, or after school for about 3 hours once or twice a week for 1:1 work with a child.

Caregivers are required to have a clear criminal record, an Emergency First Aid with CPR certification, references and some training or experience with intellectual disabilities.

Job Type:
Part-time

Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
