Our client, a leading professional services firm, is seeking a Proposal Specialist to support its growth and business development initiatives.
Working within a national team, this opportunity is suited for an experienced professional looking to play a key role in securing new mandates and strengthening the firm's strategic positioning with both existing and prospective clients.
The Role
Reporting to a National Proposals Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and producing responses to formal Requests for Proposals (RFPs), as well as credentials and qualifications submissions. You will be involved throughout the entire process, from strategic analysis of requirements to final submission, in close collaboration with partners, business development teams, and various functional groups.
This role combines complex project management, strategic writing, and internal advisory responsibilities in a demanding, performance-driven, deadline-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze proposal requests to understand strategic objectives and evaluation criteria
- Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including coordination of internal stakeholders
- Draft, structure, and tailor compelling content that highlights the firm's expertise and market positioning
- Ensure compliance with RFP requirements and brand standards
- Collaborate closely with partners and internal teams to develop competitive submissions
- Manage the final production of proposal documents, including electronic and physical submissions
- Maintain and enhance the firm's content and experience database to support future proposals
- Track proposal outcomes and gather feedback to improve win rates
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of proposal writing and management processes
- Serve as an internal resource on proposal-related matters and pursuit processes
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in business administration, communications, project management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a firm or professional services environment
- Fully bilingual in French and English
- Exceptional writing skills and ability to structure complex content clearly and persuasively
- Strong project management and prioritization abilities
- Proven ability to perform in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
- Analytical mindset, strategic thinking, and strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior professionals
- Autonomous, rigorous, and results-oriented
