The Kanopii platform goes beyond cultivating a sharing economy for resource exchange to facilitating connections and collaborations within the Kanopii community.

We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and enterprising individual for the position of Marketing & Communications Manager.

  • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels.
  • Ability to work with crossfunctional stakeholders and team leaders/members to transform ideas to content, build the company's portfolio, and bring campaigns to life.
  • Excellent (verbal and written) communication skills and analytical skills.
  • Adept at thinking 'outside the box'; should be extremely creative and innovative.
  • Budgetmanagement skills and proficiency: experience with planning, project delivery and business process transformation.
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
  • A growth mindset and are always looking to learn new things.
  • Proven success designing and executing marketing and communications strategies and campaigns.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all marketing campaigns for the company or the department.
  • Implement strategies.
  • Promote a business, product, or service.
  • Update senior leadership on the progress of marketing activities and reporting on the results of campaigns.
  • Collaborate with media organizations and advertising agencies.
  • Coordinate with the sales team and other departments to produce effective strategies.
  • Monitor current campaigns, ensuring their staff meets deadlines and complete necessary tasks.
  • Analyze data to evaluate the success of their marketing efforts and come up with new ideas to improve brand marketing and exposure.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and able to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Develop and oversee marketing campaigns.
  • Communicate and negotiate with vendors and agencies.
  • Analyze and report on customer feedback and campaign performance.
  • Develop surveys for customer feedback.
  • Approve ads, copyediting, and proofreading as necessary.

Digital Materials

  • Develop digital media content, including videos, for web and social media use, as well as written content for the company's blog and social media feeds.
  • Prepare and design various communications materials, including presentations, print and online advertising, website content, press releases, and newsletters.
  • Create, design, and manage marketing communications activities to generate brand identity, drive opportunities, and engage the community.
  • Coordinate and oversee all graphic design activities.
  • Oversee SEO/SEM, implement search engine optimization (SEO) strategies.

Website/social media

  • Manage web account, including tracking, analyzing, and reporting.
  • Identifying key social media tools and managing their use.
  • Lead communication and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop strategies to increase brand awareness.
  • Develop and implement communications to improve internal and external engagement.
  • Generate leads through digital content marketing.
  • Collaborate with sales team to drive sales.
  • Moderate social platforms.

What you bring

  • Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field preferable.
  • A true collaborative spirit and a relationship building mindset.
  • Prior work experience successfully navigating large, complex companies with multiple products.
  • Prior work experience in managing marketing, communications, press, for the company and activities within the marketing department.
  • Strong affinity for and knowledge of the hospitality and vacation rental industry.
  • Knowledge of highend luxury hospitality market is desirable.
  • Strong command of the English language both written and spoken.
