- Support ongoing risk and control consulting activities for the assigned area of responsibility in accordance with internal standards, relevant government policies and regulations.
- Running remote health checks against independent office networks and analyzing those findings to coach and educate remote offices on corrective actions to be taken.
- Performing on site health checks for independent offices and coaching corrective actions based on those findings.
- Coordinating and training additional resources as necessary to accommodate on site health checks.
- Perform virtual and on-site client and advisor information security presentations as necessary
- Coordinate and train additional resources for client and advisor information security presentations
- Track and maintain service levels in ServiceNow for said services.
- Build and adapt dashboards leveraging metrics to inform and educate leadership on the progress of the program.
- Perform other Security Awareness responsibilities as necessary.
- Promote collaboration, screen sharing, and communications tools particularly around a workforce working remotely
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an IT Technology Risk Assurance capacity.
- Hands-on experience in IT security implementation and audit.
- Experience in control establishment & optimization along with auditing security domains such as Identity & Access Management, Data Encryption, application security, Firewall auditing, Vulnerability Management & Reporting, Asset Management.
- Knowledge of security and compliance testing IT infrastructure.
- A deep understanding of Information Technology and Information Security, i.e. experience from a CISSP perspective. (CISSP certification not required)
- Solid understanding of assessing and designing internal controls in an enterprise-level environment.
- Adept in systems administration/ability to navigate enterprise level applications from an administrative perspective.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, priorities, and to work under pressure to meet critical, time sensitive deadlines.
- Proficient in authoring and maintaining professional documentation.
- Ability to present complex technical ideas and concepts to those outside of a technical profession
- Solid experience in testing, evaluating, and documenting controls for compliance.
- Strong analytics & reporting skills with strong communication & presentation.
- Ability to work with all level of clients & internal resources.
- English proficient both spoken and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Commitment to work in a team both intra/inter departments.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Knowledge of NIST, COBIT, ITIL and various other IT Security regulations & baseline controls is recommended
- Certifications: ISO 27000, CISA, CISSP are an asset

How does the role impact the organization?
Raymond James Ltd. is seeking a qualified Senior Technology Risk Assurance professional to work in our Burnaby office. Under direct supervision of the Senior Manager, Technology Risk Assurance, the incumbent will use knowledge and skills, obtained through education and/or experience, training and/or certification, to conduct reviews of limited scope and complexity and improve internal controls over IT risk management. The incumbent will recommend process improvements for departmental and business unit processes and procedures to improve internal controls and other project deliverables as required. Guidance is provided to perform varied work that is difficult in character requiring some evaluation, originality, and ingenuity to make decisions.
