Lecturer (Limited Term - 5 yr) - Group Practice Leader (GPL):
This role involves teaching (didactic & clinical) and administrative work.
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Group Practice Leader model (GPL) as a senior dentist/mentor to a small group of undergraduate dental students to ensure high quality patient care and a positive and effective student learning experience.
The position will collaborate/work closely with other Group Practice Leaders, dental specialists and clinical staff and will be responsible for providing high quality instruction in all disciplines that fall within the scope of practice of a general practitioner in Saskatchewan.
Job responsibilities within the undergraduate program include but are not limited to: overseeing the quality of students' clinical efforts; ensuring a high standard of comprehensive patient care; modelling/promoting a supportive and positive clinical environment; monitoring the clinical progression of DMD students; ensuring DMD students receive the required range of clinical experience through the program; and ensuring students attain competency prior to graduation.
Applicants should have a DDS/DMD or foreign equivalent and be able to obtain an appropriate dental license (generalist/specialist/academic) in the Province of Saskatchewan.
The Salary band for a Lecturer is as follows: $83,150 - $123,458.
