Servicing Bulkley - Skeena Valley Region

Duties:

Perform service, repair and diagnostic and preventative maintenance to equipment
Perform procurement of parts and materials
Diagnose, recondition and repair all equipment components and systems as assigned by supervisor
Complete reports and documentation as required, maintain good records
Assist with coaching and development of apprentices

Compensation:

- $50.96 per hour

All overtime is double time

General:

This is a fulltime, permanent position, minimum 40 hours per week
Occasional overtime may be required
Work may take place in the shop, yard or in the field at mine sites, logging sites, construction sites, pipelines in the Bulkley-Skeena Valley area
Work may occasionally require employees to be in the field for extended periods of days.
Language of work is English

Experience Required:

1+ years related experience post certification
Knowledge of
Volvo equipment systems and repairs is an asset
Experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at a dealership would be an asset
Committed to continuous learning
Strong technical background and capable of effective communication with technicians and customers regarding parts and service
Dedicated to working safely

Education Required:

Successful completion of Heavy Equipment Technician Apprenticeship and achievement of Journeyperson status (Interprovincial Red Seal)
