We are looking to add a Shop Planner Coordinator to our Sparwood branch.

Reports to:
Manager, Planning and Administration

Shift:5x2 Monday to Friday - 8 hours/day

Location:
Sparwood, BC

Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the planning, estimating, and scheduling of the welding and rebuild shop maintenance, repair and breakdown projects.
Analyze schedule and prepare critical path schedule and identify any schedule disruptions and notify management to initiate mitigation plan.
Assists in the reassignment of available resources effectively to meet deadlines.
Prepare and provide information on various forecasts, reports and lookahead plans on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as required by the project management team.
Issue requisitions and work with vendors to establish material and consumable quotes.
Working with foreman, establish bid documents and respective cost analysis forecasts.
Inputting and ordering parts for various shop settings
Managing preventative maintenance for the local facility

Qualifications/Requirements:

Partsperson ticket considered an asset.
35 years of relevant experience. Mining industry experience would be an asset.
Effective organization skills with a strong attention to detail.
Possess a working knowledge of welding fabrication, types of welding processes, mechanical principles, rebuild practices and types of steels would be an asset.
Excellent verbal and written skills
Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving with a strong customer focus.
SAP experience is considered an asset
