About the Role
We are seeking an
Office Administration
Intern to provide support to our Administration team. This is a full-time position under the Canada Summer Jobs program for up to 280 hours.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist with various administrative tasks to support Agency programs and teams.
  • Provide reception coverage for vacation, sick, lunch breaks, and the occasional evening.
  • Provide assistance for case file maintenance, including scanning
  • Organize and maintain proper record filing.
  • Assist in coordinating the logístical aspects of Agency programs and services, such as meetings, seminars and other events.
  • Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services and other correspondence.
  • Maintain stock area in clean and presentable manner; ensure adequate level of office supplies.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • Must be between the 18 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
  • Some postsecondary education, preferably in the area of Office Administration/ Accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), knowledge of Access and database programs
  • Organizational, detailed oriented and multitasking skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Prioritize workload according to ever changing deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive, confidential and proprietary information.
  • Comfortable working inoffice where health and safety measures have been put in place
