Responsibilities:

Code and Regulation Adherence:

  • Must adhere to all applicable building codes, standards, and regulations, including but not limited to, the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and local municipal codes.

Safety:

  • Must comply with all workplace safety laws and regulations, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) of Ontario.
  • Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring that all equipment is handled safely.

Preparation of the Work Area:

  • Ensuring that the work area is properly prepared for insulation.
  • Setting up and maintaining equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.

Application of Insulation:

  • Installing all types of insulation materials (excluding spray foam) in residential and commercial settings
  • Measuring and cutting insulation materials to fit into walls, ceilings, and floors.
  • Ensuring proper and codecompliant insulation installation.
  • Inspecting insulation for correct installation and air leakage.
  • Installing vapour barrier.

Quality Assurance:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all work is completed efficiently, maintaining the highest level of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Work must meet or exceed the expectations and specifications of the client and CNG Insulation Inc.
  • Ensuring that insulation is installed effectively, with no gaps or seams, to prevent air leakage.
  • Conducting a visual inspection to ensure that the insulation meets the required standards and specifications.
  • File a daily work record sheet with related tests on site after each spraying day.

Communication and Customer Service:

  • Communicating effectively with clients, answering any queries they may have and providing advice where necessary.
  • Collaborating with other team members, including insulation installers and project managers, to ensure that the project runs smoothly.

Maintenance and Cleanup:

  • Ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly maintained, cleaned, and stored.
  • Cleaning up the work area after the insulation is installed, disposing of waste materials according to company policies and regulations.
  • Report any parts that are running low or are needed for a specific project to the director promptly, ensuring that projects are not delayed due to a lack of necessary supplies.

Professionalism:

  • Be punctual and maintain a strong work ethic.
  • Be highly responsive and adaptive in the work environment.

Vehicle Inspection:

  • Company to provide the contractor with a commercial vehicle to be used for company purposes which has been detailed below.
  • Pretrip Inspection:Conduct a comprehensive pretrip inspection of the truck before operating it, ensuring it is in safe working condition and filling up the pre inspection sheet and signing it before driving the truck.
  • Inspection should be thorough, checking crucial components such as brakes, lights, tires, mirrors, and other essential parts for any defects or issues that might compromise safety or operation. (refer to schedule 1 inspection provided by the operator)
  • CVOR Compliance:Inspections must be conducted in adherence to the Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) regulations, following the standards set by the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.
  • Carry and maintain all necessary documents related to CVOR in the truck, ensuring they are uptodate and easily accessible for verification purposes during inspections or in case of an audit.
  • Recording and Documentation:Maintain detailed and accurate records of each inspection, noting any issues found, repairs done, or any maintenance required.
  • Records should be kept safe, organized, and readily available for review or audit as per CVOR requirements.
  • Reporting:Any defects, necessary repairs, or maintenance requirements found during the inspection must be immediately reported to the appropriate personnel for necessary action.
  • Ensuring that any issues compromising the safety and functionality of the vehicle are addressed before the vehicle is operated.
  • For greater certainty, the commercial vehicle is the property of the company. If any damage is caused to the commercial vehicle by the contractor, the contractor will be fully liable and responsible to pay for any and all damages as a result of the same.

$18.70-$30.00 per hour
