Position Summary


Responsibilities:

What will your typical day look like?
Co-ordinates the activities of projects and other personnel assigned to the projects.
Participates in definition of project scope and requirements and preparation of specification documents through liaison with project sponsors.
Leads in the development of procurement documents (e.g. RFI/RFP).
Leads project team in the evaluation of vendor bids and proposals.
Negotiates and administers procurement and maintenance/support contracts.
Prepares plans and schedules, tracks and reports on progress and variance, applies or recommends solutions.
Ensures appropriate documentation of systems is in place, including operational procedures.
Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


You are someone with:

A University Degree in a computer or business related discipline or equivalent; Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
A minimum of five years experience in information systems implementation
Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate computer hardware and software
Demonstrated knowledge of systems procurement practices and contracting
Demonstrated leadership skills
Effective oral and interpersonal communications skills
Demonstrated written communication and report writing skills
Demonstrated analytical, research and problem solving skills
Demonstrated Project Management skills

What we offer

The salary range for this permanent, full-time position is $65, $109,887.00 per annum based on a 35 hours/week work schedule.

Peel Regional Police offers a highly competitive compensation package; applicants will be considered for the top end of the range ($96, $109, based on experience and education.

The salary is complemented with a comprehensive benefit program, including employer-paid Health/Dental and Life Insurance; and the OMERS Pension Plan effective upon hire.

This position allows for the flexibility of hybrid remote working arrangements.
