International Data Audit Coordinator:


Primary Purpose:

The position will work with the Operations Manager to review and improve the quality of international data in our databases and the systems in place to manage and pull accurate data for various data requests received by the International Office.


Nature of Work:
This position is within the International Office (IO), reporting to the Operations Manager.

The position requires close, exact work with existing databases, communication between University departments and units, and production of written reports and briefings that will reflect on the reputation of the University's international engagement.


Typical Duties or Accountabilities:


  • Conduct a full data audit of the existing data in the MoveON system.
  • Correct errors found during the data audit.
  • Review of workflows and processes to expand the use of the MoveON system based on the knowledge gained during the data audit.
  • Create short training documents (one pagers) to ensure consistent entry of our most common records, to supplement the Codebook.
  • Develop specific report templates for use in MoveON for the most common data request needs.
  • Update data recorded in MoveON, specifically regarding Visits and Contacts, but other information as required.
  • Establish relationship with the MoveON contact in the International Student Study Abroad Centre (ISSAC) to connect regarding the data audit as required.
  • Review reports created for the International Office in uView for any potential changes required to support the office.
  • Create templates in SciVal to support data requirements regularly required from this tool.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:
A university degree in an appropriate discipline: emphasizing writing ability, analyzing data, presentation of information, etc.


Experience:


  • Training in databases, preparation & presentations of data using charts, tables, graphs, etc.
  • Three to five years' experience using databases, computer programs including word processing, excel databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Experience in interpreting data and making linkages for use in decision making and policy development.
  • Experience working in a postsecondary institution is an asset.
  • International experience is an asset.

  • Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access.
  • Knowledge of presentation software such as Power Point, Publisher, graphics tools.
  • Excellent time management skills able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in small work groups to achieve results achieve a team approach and solution as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively in a changing environment: adaptability and flexibility.

Salary:
The salary range, based on 1.0 FTE, is $49, ,033.00 per annum. The starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
