Description

Responsibilities:


  • Design evaluation frameworks aligned with project objectives and requirements
  • Supporting the development of field experiments
  • Develop data collection plans and data analysis strategies to answer key evaluation questions
  • Create and test data collection instruments and protocols
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis for a range of research and evaluation projects
  • Work with clients and partners to codesign and implement evaluation activities, including training and technical assistance
  • Monitor data collection activities and conduct data quality assurance
  • Prepare effective communication materials to share with partners and stakeholders
  • Conduct jurisdictional scans, literature searches and evidence reviews to inform evidenceinformed decisionmaking
  • Provide policy analysis and program design support
  • Write reports and prepare presentations to effectively communicate research results and recommendations to a range of technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Conduct project coordination activities including developing project schedules and work plans, organizing meetings, managing documents and tracking activities

Qualifications:


  • Master's degree or PhD in behavioural science, economics, sociology, psychology, public administration, political science, population health or related field
  • Expertise in qualitative and/or quantitative research methods
  • Academic or jobrelated experience conducting evaluations of social programs is highly desired
  • Experience designing randomized control experiments
  • Experience designing data collection instruments including surveys and/or interview protocols
  • Experience in research, public policy analysis and program design. Related research expertise in employment and skills development sector would be an asset.
  • Experience leading and managing the delivery of projects with proven ability in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a strong ability to convey complex ideas and information to nontechnical audiences
  • Strong motivation and commitment to research excellence, generating new ideas, exchanging and mobilizing knowledge, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions in the face of complexity or uncertainty, identify and manage risks, and act to address issues when necessary
  • Proficiency with statistics software (e.g. STATA, R, Python, SPSS, SAS,, etc.)
