Reporting to the Registrar and Student Accounts/Financial Aid Advisor, Vancouver Campus, the Student Accounts and Registration Assistant is a key member of the student services and financial leadership team.

The assistant works closely with the University administration to promote a service-oriented student life cycle.


The Student Accounts and Registration Assistant ensures exceptional business processes in relation to the efficient operation of student accounts, disbursement processing, student billing, transcript requests, confirmation of enrollments, and related functions of the University.


Education/Experience:


  • Previous experience in office administration or customer support
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Quick to learn and absorb new technical systems/platforms (i.e. internal websites, software, online management systems)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong skills in written/verbal communication
  • Detailoriented and organized
  • Must be punctual, and reliable

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Student Accounts:


  • Processes registration invoicing/payments via Colleague into the Sage Accounting system
  • Contacts students with balances owing on account at the end of each month and process tuition payments
  • Manages the tracking of international student deposits and provides receipt letters for international admissions advisors
  • Assists in the processing of T2202A tax forms and T4A tax forms
  • Processes the disbursement of student loans disbursements to student accounts,
  • Confirmation of enrollments for Canada Student Loan

Registration:


  • Process transcript requests
  • Enrollment verification letters for students
  • Maintains student records
  • Assists in the course scheduling process
  • Assists in student audit for academic progress and program completion

Work Environment (Physical Demands):The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
