Framer/carpenter - Quinte West, Canada - KNG Contracting

Description

Responsibilities:

• Construct and assemble building frameworks, including walls, floors, and roofs, using various materials such as wood, steel, and concrete
• Measure, cut, and shape materials according to blueprints and specifications
• Install windows, doors, and other fixtures
• Ensure structures are level, plumb, and square
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area

Experience:

• Previous experience as a framer or carpenter preferred
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting construction plans
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Ability to operate heavy equipment for tasks such as digging trenches or moving materials
• Experience with concrete forming and pouring
• Skilled in using power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
• Welding experience is a plus

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of framing techniques and construction methods
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Excellent problemsolving skills
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members

Pay:
$17.00-$40.00 per hour
