The position will oversee the daily cash management function and finds ways to improve forecasting of daily cash flows and find ways to improve/reduce fees paid to HCFI's banks for cash management services.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and forecast daily cash flows for funding.
  • Responsible for creating and issuing Treasury wire payments to vendors.
  • Monitor all daily Dealer EDI & Customers PADP files are processed in a timely manner by Harris Bank and AHM.
  • Provide Monthly Journal Entries for Commercial Paper Fees, Bank Charges, Amortization, G&A Interest Allocation, and Keepwell Fees for recording into Peoplesoft GL.
  • Deliver Compliance Certificates, Financial Statements, and other documents as per Treasury agreement covenants.
  • Provide backup support for transacting daily in the market by issuing CP to cover shortterm funding requirements for a $2 billion Commercial Paper (CP) Program and to keep Management apprised of market condition / intelligence of any key capital market development.
  • Provide backup support for maintaining the Treasury trading system "Savid" including all daily activities as well as all system upgrades including all required UAT testing.
  • Assist in preparing various presentations.
  • Prepare monthly Treasury; MOR; DOR reports.
  • Ad Hoc duties as assigned by the Treasury Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed postsecondary degree in Business (B.Comm or BBA) or equivalent is required.
  • 3 5 years' experience in banking industry with demonstrated experience with treasury issues related to liquidity, capital and interest rate risk management.
  • Strong mathematical/ financial market background with an Accounting designation
  • CPA or CFA or progressing towards designation would be an asset.
  • Able to analyze legal agreements to effectively service each transaction.
  • Detail and deadline oriented. Must be able to multitask.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Intermediate excel skills required.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems, PeopleSoft preferred.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships and all members of the team.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships within Honda North America as well as all other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop, establish and maintain good working relationship with Honda North America suppliers, partners, consultants, stakeholders and other network contacts.
  • Enjoys team building approach of management and department shares results.
