We have an exciting opportunity in our Retail Sales Function on our Sales Strategy Team as Associate Sales Strategy Manager.

This role is based out of our Mississauga Head Office location (60% in-office, 40% remote) and plays a key role in pricing and promotional strategy development, commercializing new launches, generating monthly and annual plans, and supporting the delivery of overall business results.


Specific accountabilities of this role:
Strategy

  • Manage incremental drivers/sales controllables (pricing/ads/display)
  • Develop scorecards to monitor execution and work with the sales teams to achieve execution targets
  • Create sales tactics to deliver objectives, create contingency plans to address opportunity gaps or address competitive threats
Planning

  • Play an active role in the business planning process (including Strategic, Operating, and annual brand planning) representing customer team perspectives
  • Create brand roles and promotional priorities
  • Evaluate customer team annual plans and recommend annual planning volume allocation for customer teams
Category Analytics

  • Participate in monthly evaluation of incremental business drivers and segment/category trends aligned with the S&OP process
  • Create specific strategies for categories/segments
  • Support account specific category management initiatives. Brand specific analysis to determine performance issues/opportunities
Commercialization

  • Develop launch strategies, create materials and tools aligned with brand expectations for new item initiatives
  • Create, monitor, and report distribution targets. Own the new product process for the business teams
Internal communications

  • Actively participate in regional meetings, presenting new product and brand initiatives
  • Support the customer team with the tactics and tools required to achieve annual operating plan (AOP) & strategic targets
  • University Degree, business degree preferred
  • Minimum of 23 years of CPG experience
  • Effective time management & prioritization skills
  • Effective proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Effective analytical skills
  • Effective skills using ACNielsen tools
  • Effective Project Management skills and process oriented
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Emerging facilitation skills
