Reporting Specialist

Location - Remote


Reports To - Development Manager, Software Development


Quorum is currently looking for a Report Specialist to join our growing team.


As a Report Specialist, you will be a part of our Data and Reporting Team responsible for building and delivering meaningful and effective data visualizations for both for our internal and client facing reporting solutions.

Your passion for reporting and business intelligence solutions are critical in helping our customers and employees understand the story the data is telling to allow them to make strong data-backed decisions.


THE COMPANY

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with report Product Owner to deliver required reporting functionality to support business objectives
  • Create dashboards and interactive visual reports in accordance with defined standards and identified business requirements
  • Access on premises Microsoft SQL server databases and Azure SQL data warehouse for reporting through Power BI[YR3] [MJ4]
  • Assist with identifying data elements required for reports
  • Document report elements for reference and validation of accuracy
  • Deploy reports according to defined processes
  • Participate in creating effective and efficient processes for the development, deployment, and maintenance of reporting
  • Ensure data access and security policies are adhered to in reporting
  • Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
  • Maintain relevant skills in SQL querying, Power Query, DAX queries and other ETL technologies.
  • Contribute to the future direction of our reporting strategy by recommend improvements to streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, usability and value
  • Perform system testing of developed reports. Help with regression testing of reports during upgrades
  • Participate in professional development and training as required

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in business intelligence and reporting in a corporate environment[YR5]
  • Experience designing and developing reports, dashboards and KPIs using Power BI
  • Strong knowledge and experience in analyzing as well as designing data models that meet the reporting needs
  • 3+ years experience and advance knowledge of writing complex and performant SQL queries
  • 3+ years experience with Power BI (Power Query, DAX, Power Bi Services)
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics and data factory pipelines
  • Able to troubleshoot BI reporting and analytic business needs and provide solutions for issue resolution
  • Internally motivated and adaptable, able to work proficiently both independently and in a fast paced team environment
  • Excellent listening skills and attention to detail and accuracy with demonstrated strong logical and technical problemsolving skills
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to being a team player
  • Strong sense of ownership, high sense of integrity and an incredible work ethic
