CNC Operator - Kitchener, Canada - XLP Manufacturing Inc

Description

We currently have an opportunity for a CNC Machinist (Programmer / Setup / Operator) to work on a CNC Haas Mill.

• Set up and operate CNC Mill machine according to work order and instructions
• Responsible for programing, set up and running part
• Loading and unloading material product ranging from small pieces to larger sheet steel
• Ensure all parts programmed as part of a job are cut with good quality and passed on to downstream operations
• Optimize the running of parts to best take advantage of the machine's operating time
• Filling out production paperwork neatly and accurately
• Keep work area clean, tidy and organized at all times

• Ability to read an imperial tape measure and blueprints including measuring parts, using verniers, micrometers, and assortment of other measuring tools in a machine shop environment is a must
• Ability to machine to tight tolerances
• 5 years of experience working on CNC machines
• Excellent mechanical/mathematical aptitude
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail and quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Mastercam is a must
